Oracle BI Report Developer
Description: Crystal Blue IT Solutions, LLC is seeking a talented Oracle BI Report Developer should effectively develop, enhance, maintain and proactively seek improvement to enterprise wide reports. The Oracle BI Report Developer must possess good communication skills to be able to work with clients to understand their business problems and translate that knowledge into a technical solution. The Oracle BI Report Developer should be able to work well independently and be able to complete moderately complex systems development projects including: gathering and defining user requirements, report design, programming, testing, implementation and follow up. Recent exposure to Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), with excellent knowledge of Oracle BI Administration, Answers, Interactive Dashboards and BI Publisher.
Job Duties & Requirements:
- Work with customers to identify and document requirements and challenges.
- Highly organized to keep track of report requirements, deliverables, priority and concurrent projects.
- Demonstrate the ability to work individually on report development assignments from start to finish with little or no supervision.
- Demonstrate strong team work skills and capability to learn business processes quickly.
- Actively participate and share ideas openly when trying to generate solutions to reporting problems. Understand that no idea is a bad idea during a brainstorming session. Respect input from others.
- Demonstrate basic testing skills, identify and document test cases that prove the report satisfy business and technical requirements.
- Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills as well as listening, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain reports using a variety of tools including Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition in an Enterprise Reporting environment.
- Actively support customers in performing ad-hoc and what-if analysis.
- Maintain version control of reports and other development objects.
- Provide technical expertise to other team members on reporting process, impact analysis and other related items.
- Provide leadership and direction on reporting standards, processes, tools and administration.
- Ability to effectively recommend, future enhancements, new products and architectural design at an enterprise reporting level.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
- Ability to learn new technical tools as needed.
- 2-4 years experience with Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) Administration, Answers, Interactive Dashboards and BI Publisher.
- 4+ years experience in writing SQL / PL/SQL.
- Multiple database experience especially Oracle, Teradata and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Excellent report design skills (must be able to demonstrate and show report portfolio created in prior positions).
- Ability to design and enhance a dashboard.
